Ecotone Academy is a Private Membership Association dedicated to personal and planetary evolution in alignment with ecological principles.

Our foundational presumption is well-stated by Buckminster Fuller: "Universe has one comprehensive coordinating system."

That is: Nature does does not have a physics department, a chemistry, biology and humanities department. It is all one swirl of organic elements spontaneously self-organizing according to a knowable operating system.

This dynamic system applies equally to atoms as galaxies as to stones, oceans and the subtle stuff of the human psyche.

Members of the Academy are engaged in the playful, profound and practical pursuit of this elusive-yet-ever-present wisdom.

We are guided by our longing for a more soulful life; for a more intimate relationship with creation; to be overwhelmed with awe at the magnitude of Mystery; to discover the gifts that are uniquely ours to give; to know where we belong within the web of all beings.

GLOSSARY

The Ecotone Glossary illuminates the key concepts and vocabulary that inform everything else we do. These include the simple physics, metaphysics and foundational philosophy of a truly nature-based worldview.

Arising from that foundation are four 8-week programs offered in alignment with the four seasons, described below.

TIME CRAFT

WINTER: January-March

Revolutionize your relationship with time. Reset your circadian rhythm and organize your life according to organic time. Discover the five types of time and experiment with natural time management strategies to optimize your rest-activity cycles and make the most of every moment.

SPACE CRAFT

SPRING: April-June

Shift your soul's center of gravity as you consciously craft the shape of space swirling through and around you. Discover the five ways matter moves through space, then use that awareness to hold better boundaries, skillfully filter your experiences and cultivate connection from a calm, centered place.

MIND CRAFT

SUMMER: July-September

Using a simple, systematic approach to subtle self-awareness, you can befriend the wild parts of your mind, have a direct encounter with the universal archetypes that animate your individual life and harvest the soul-level lessons they are longing to offer you.

DREAM CRAFT

Autumn: October-December

Learn to remember, decode and embody your dreams on a daily basis. Become your own therapist, integrate unconscious aspects of your psyche and activate suppressed superpowers. Confidently guide others deeper into the significance of their dreams. Gain reliable access to the fathomless source of wisdom that is your own personal Dream Maker.

2026 is Ecotone Academy's inaugural year, so we may only pull off one in-person adventure, but here is the complete vision for three annual gatherings.

Circadian Rhythm Reset

Timing: Spring Equinox
Location: Desert Southwest U.S. / Baja California Sur
Theme: Time Craft, circadian rhythms, daily habits, sustainable self-care strategies, food as medicine, gentle Spring cleanse.
Vibes: structured, supportive, simple

The Wild One

Timing: Summer Solstice
Location: Pacific Northwest / British Columbia; or, Costa Rica
Theme: Mind Craft, full-on nature immersion, wild camping, archetypal embodiment, vision fast.
Vibes: wild, adventurous, edgy, alluring & dangerous

The Dream Maker

Timing: Winter Solstice
Location: Snowed-in mountain lodge; or, a cabin with a sauna on a frozen lake
Theme: Dream Craft, inner deepening, incubation
Vibes: cozy, quiet, slow, hibernation
